Rights. We love them. All of them. Women’s rights, children’s rights, gun rights, voting rights, civil rights, employee rights. It seems merely having rights outweighs the exercising of rights. The idea of having so many individual rights gives us bragging rights over other sovereign countries.

Ken: Everybody is thinking about our getting “back to normal” after two years of a COVID pandemic that caused lockdowns and mandated business closures, but there is no end to obstructions to the process. Not the least of problems is that the virus refuses to go away.

As I am now classified as a senior citizen, or even worse, elderly, I am a target of scams, fraud attempts and numerous unsolicited telephone calls. I must admit, I have been generally a bit more trusting in the past, but I have a diligent wife who has made me much more cautious.

Now that the Kyle Rittenhouse trial has concluded, there is enough information known for me to shoot my mouth off. It was all the rage with the mainstream media pundits, so I thought I’d throw in my 2 cents. At least I waited until after the verdict.
