GRANT PARK — William F. Becker, 89, of Grant Park, passed away Thursday (Jan. 6, 2022) at Miller Rehab Center in Kankakee.
He was born July 1, 1932, in Grant Park, the son of William C. and Wilhelmina (Schultz) Becker.
On Dec. 8, 1957, he married Evelyn Frick.
William was a farmer his entire life and was also a truck driver. He was past chairman at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Grant Park, where he was a member. He was a member of International Harvester Collectors Inc. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors, having coffee with the McDonald’s crew and mowing his lawn.
Surviving are his children, William K. (Melanie) Becker, of Hebron, Ind., Steven Becker, of Grant Park, Debbie Becker, of Bourbonnais, and Ruth (Shawn) Junker, of Grant Park; his grandchildren, Billy Becker, Lauren Becker, Nicole (Joshua) Gerst, Keith (Amanda)Trompler, Jacob Trompler, Joshua Junker, Jessica Junker and Emily Junker; and his great-grandchildren, Riley, Ava, Evelyn, Brody and Remington.
Preceding him in death were his wife; parents; brother Elmer (Helen) Becker; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Becker.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, at Hack-Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Grant Park. The Rev. Dan Herold will officiate. Burial will be in St Paul’s Cemetery in Grant Park.
