Betty Groth, 51, of Kankakee, passed away Saturday (June 29, 2019) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

She was born Feb. 27, 1968, in Kankakee, the daughter of Leroy and Linda Wells Groth.

Betty was a graduate of Herscher High School. She was an employee at Circle K (Shell). She was a member of the Aroma Park American Legion Auxiliary. One of her passions was being a supporter of the military, both active and veterans. She also enjoyed photography.

Surviving are her mother, Linda Wells Groth, of Kankakee; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ladonna and Bill Russell, of Kankakee, and Catherine Groth, of Kankakee; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Todd and Deb Groth, of Bourbonnais, Greg Groth, of Kankakee, Jon and Lori Groth, of Syracuse, Utah, and Anthony Groth, of Kankakee; two nieces, Amanda Weaver and Maddie Russell; three nephews, Jeff Groth, deacon Michael Groth and Dakota Groth; one great-niece, Sophia Groth; and one great-nephew, Noah Bray.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be from 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, until the 6 p.m. memorial service at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. Deacon Michael Groth will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
