KANKAKEE — Harbor House will be hosting its second annual The Best of the Second City fundraiser Jan. 27 at the Majestic Theater, 150 N. Schuyler Ave., Kankakee.
Last year, the fundraiser brought in $11,219 to go toward Harbor House of Kankakee and Iroquois counties.
This performance will feature a compilation of the best songs and sketches from the last 50-plus years of comedic history.
The Second City is an improvisational comedy enterprise originating in Chicago that has launched many of today's superstars of film and television, including Bill Murray, Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Tim Meadows and more.
Chicago's legendary sketch and improv comedy theater tours the nation with The Best of The Second City.
Ticket can be purchased online at harborhousedv.org/events.html, any of the three Municipal Bank outlets in Bourbonnais, Manteno or Momence, or at Joy's Hallmark Shop in the Meadowview Shopping Center in Kankakee.
Ticket cost is $35, and attendees must be at least 17 years old.
Harbor House assists the victims of domestic violence from Kankakee and Iroquois counties and their families.
