Poland, Czech leaders want more regional unity

Polish President Andrzej Duda will visit the National Guard in Kankakee on Friday to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Illinois National Guard’s partnership with Poland.

The event will be at 6 p.m. at the Illinois National Guard’s Army Aviation Support Facility 2, 3200 S. Justice Way.

The ceremony also will include Brig. Gen. Mark Jackson, of the Illinois National Guard; members of the Guard; and Polish armed forces.
