Man found in truck fire still not ID'd

Officials are awaiting test results to identify a man whose charred body was found after a vehicle fire was put out on Monday.

On Tuesday, Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner said evidence, including DNA, was sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab in Joliet. He said the results should come back in two weeks.

Dental records could not be used because the teeth were destroyed, he said.
