Love can't wait

Joseph Lentz and now Iris Reyes Lentz, both of Kankakee, removed their masks to pose for a photo as newlyweds Friday in room 309 of the Kankakee County Courthouse as marriage ceremonies returned after coronavirus closures. Like many, the couple had to postpone their 2020 ceremony and celebration, planned for two months ago, and opted to get married at the courthouse. “We had a big celebration planned to share this moment with our families and our two beautiful children, but it doesn’t matter where we got married,” Joseph said. “I know I want to spend the rest of my life with her. We just couldn’t wait.”
