Harbor House - Domestic Violence Awareness Month ribbons

For the third year in a row, Harbor House will team up with The Second City to present “Laugh for a Cause.’’

The live performance is set for 7 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 187 S. Indiana Ave., Kankakee.

Second City is Chicago’s renowned sketch and improv comedy theater. It’s alumni represents some of the giants of the comedy world, including Joan Rivers, John Belushi, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner, Stephen Colbert and Tina Fey, among many others.

“Laugh for a Cause” is a benefit that supports survivors of domestic violence. Tickets cost $40 each and are now available online at http://www.harborhousedv.org/events, at all Municipal Bank locations in Kankakee County, Joy’s Hallmark in Kankakee’s Meadowview Center or at the Harbor House Resale Shop in Watseka.

This performance is appropriate for ages 17 and older. The show has sold out in the previous two years.
