Drive-In Fireworks

Drive-In Fireworks

Boaters watch fireworks from the Kankakee River as many others watch from land Saturday night during Kankakee’s 4th of July Drive-In Fireworks Celebration, presented by Kankakee County Board Chairman Andy Wheeler, the Kankakee Valley Park District and 35 other sponsors. Although fireworks could be seen across the skies of Kankakee, Bradley and Bourbonnais, the drive-in show, which lasted just over 15 minutes, served as the only officially sponsored show in the area this year as the COVID-19 pandemic caused cancellations.
