Work is underway to remove one of the last images regarding the Chicago Bears calling Bourbonnais its summer training camp home.

Aqua Illinois is in the process of repainting the 1-million-gallon Mooney Tower along Armour Road in Bourbonnais.

The tower was constructed in 2000 and had been painted several years ago proclaiming the village as being the summer training camp home of the Chicago Bears.

The teams ended its 18-year relationship with Olivet Nazarene University in 2019.
