Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department and Aroma Park police are investigating shots fired at Strasma Park on Wednesday.
A home on Jan Avenue and a vehicle at the park both were hit by gunfire, according to Chief Deputy Ken McCabe. The incident occurred at about 6 p.m.
The home and the vehicle each were occupied at the time. No one was injured.
A man told investigators three bullets hit his house as he was walking in the back door. Two bullets were found inside the house.
Witnesses said two cars drove off from the park. They told investigators they were unsure what caused the shooting.
