KANKAKEE — Kankakee police investigated a shooting in which a man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm on Dec. 29.

According to a report, officers were dispatched at 1:09 a.m. to the 400 block of South Wildwood Avenue for a gunshot victim.

A white male was found inside the residence sitting in a recliner with a wound from his right arm. Kankakee Fire transported the victim to Presence St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.

Three people inside the home said they heard shots and the victim came inside and was bleeding. One of the witnesses said they saw two males flee the area.

Several spent shell casings, bullet fragments, a cellphone and a loaded magazine were found in the street and in front of the home.
