BOURBONNAIS — A 27-year-old man suffered nonlife-threatening injuries after he was shot outside the Huddle Sports Bar on Saturday.
According to a release from the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and officers from multiple other police departments responded at 2:13 a.m. Saturday to a call of shots fired at the Huddle, 1887 Armour Road.
They found several vehicles had been hit by gunfire, multiple spent shell casings and what appeared to be a blood trail. No victims were found at the scene.
A short time later, the 27-year-old victim arrived at a local hospital and said he had been shot while in the parking lot of the Huddle.
Chief Deputy Ken McCabe said the victim was shot multiple times.
The victim told investigators he did not know who shot him or why somebody would shoot him.
The Daily Journal is not naming the victim.
Detectives are following up on leads and processing recovered evidence, according to the release.
