KANKAKEE — Kankakee police arrested a juvenile boy for a shooting that occurred in the area of Brighton Street and South Sixth Avenue on Wednesday.
The suspect was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, armed robbery, possession of firearms and ammunition and robbery.
According to a report, the suspect robbed another juvenile boy at gunpoint of several items. He then shot at the victim.
A witness said one of the juveniles yelled for someone to call 911 as he was chasing the other. Officers were able to catch both.
They learned the victim started chasing the suspect after he realized he was not shot.
