Kankakee police’s Gang Enforcement Tactical Unit arrested Victor M. Andrade, 24, of Aroma Park, for delivery of a controlled substance (heroin and cocaine) on May 24. According to a report, GETU was conducting a drug investigation. A judge set Andrade’s bond at $200,000.

DUI

Bradley police arrested Johnathan P. Frey, 54, of Bradley, for driving under the influence of alcohol on May 30. According to a report, at 12:21 a.m., a person reported a possible DUI driver. The van and the driver, Frey, and a passenger were located in the 1300 block of East North Street. The officer determined Frey to be alcohol impaired. Frey provided a breath sample at the scene with a .097 result. A Breathalyzer test at Jerome Combs Detention Center had a result of .088. A judge set Frey’s bond at $3,000.

Kankakee County Sheriff’s police arrested Steven J. Fournier, 29, of Bourbonnais, for driving under the influence of drugs on May 29. According to a prosecutor, Fournier was stopped in Pembroke Township for a traffic violation. The deputy determined the driver, Fournier, to be impaired. A judge released Fournier on a $5,000 recognizance bond.

Kankakee County Sheriff’s police arrested William F. Elliot, 64, of Lockport, for driving under the influence of alcohol on May 29. According to police, a deputy observed a vehicle driving off the shoulder on U.S. Route 45/52 near 8500N Road. The right side tires were shredded. Elliot posted the required bond and was released.

Bourbonnais police arrested Marcus Driver, 39, of Chicago, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence with BAC greater than .08 on May 25. According to a report, an officer on patrol observed a vehicle drifting back and forth in lanes of traffic on North Convent Street. The officer determined the driver to be alcohol impaired. Driver submitted to a Breathalyzer at the station with a .134 result. Driver posted the required bond and was released.

Bourbonnais police arrested Donald J. Page, 58, of Bourbonnais, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence with BAC greater than .08 on May 24. An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of Patriot Way and Magnolia Drive. The officer spoke with the driver, Page. The officer determined Page to be alcohol impaired. Page submitted to a Breathalyzer with a .183 result at the station. Page posted the required bond and was released.

Bradley police arrested Jade J. Anthony, 23, of Kankakee, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08 on May 24. According to a report, an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The officer smelled the odor of alcohol on Anthony’s breath. Anthony provided a breath sample with a result of .153 BAC.

Bradley police arrested Nathan E. Mullikin, 35, of Bradley, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08 on May 23. According to a report, Mullikin crashed his motorcycle. Mullikin and the cycle were found in the alley behind 323 S. Dearborn Ave. An officer smelled the odor of alcohol on Mullikin’s breath. Mullikin refused to provide a blood sample at the hospital.

Bradley police arrested Anthony L. Adams, 32, of Kankakee, for driving under the influence of alcohol on May 21. According to a report, an officer stopped Adams for a traffic violation. The officer smelled the odor of alcohol on Adams’ breath. Adams refused to take breath tests. Adams paid the required bond and was released.

Shots fired

Kankakee police investigated shots fired in the 400 block of South Rosewood Avenue at 10:26 p.m. May 28. According to a report, officers found two parked vehicles had been hit by gunfire. A bullet fragment, two shell casings and a bullet were recovered.

Kankakee police investigated shots fired in the 400 block of South Osborn Avenue at 3:05 a.m. May 28. According to a report, officers found a vehicle damaged, as well as 14 spent shell casings in an alley behind the 400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Another vehicle was damaged in the same alley.

Kankakee police investigated shots fired in the 700 block of North Cottage Avenue on May 25. A witness told investigators he saw a black Cadillac with two occupants traveling north in the 700 block of North Cottage fire multiple shots. Eight spent 9mm casings were found in the street of 700 North Cottage. One live 40mm round was found in the east alley of 700 North Park Avenue.

A Kankakee police officer recovered 44 spent 9mm shell casings in the street in the area of Osborn Avenue and Bourbonnais Street after responding to a shots fired call at 12:06 a.m. May 23. No property damage was found.

A Kankakee police officer in the area of the 1200 block of South Fourth Avenue discovered a vehicle that had its rear window shot out on May 22. According to a report, the vehicle was hit multiple times by gunfire. Five spent 9mm shell casings were found around the vehicle. The officer learned from dispatch that they received a shots fired call from the same block at 12:30 a.m. the same day.

A house and two vehicles in the 400 block of Country Club Drive in Kankakee were hit by gunshots at 3 a.m. May 19. According to a Kankakee police report, the front window of the house was shot out. Two people in the house said they were awakened by gunfire. One said there were several subjects in the street fighting and shooting. Officers located several spent shell casings.

Kankakee police investigated a report of shots fired in the 1200 block of East Court Street at 8:25 p.m. May 19. According to a report, an officer found five bullet holes in the east side of the house. A witness said he saw a car speed away after the shots.

Shooting

Kankakee police investigated shots fired in the 700 block of North Park Avenue on May 24. According to a report, a witness told police she heard shots fired and saw a man running from where the shots were fired. Six spent shell casings were found at the intersection of North Park Avenue and East Birch Street. At 11:29 p.m., officers were called to a local hospital for two gunshot wound victims. One male victim suffered a wound to the right hip. The other male victim ran into a car when the shots were fired. Both victims said they did not see anyone and had no possible suspect information.

Theft

Kankakee police took a report from a woman about the theft of her the 9mm handgun from her vehicle on May 28. She told investigators she had several people riding in her vehicle and is unsure who stole it.

Bradley police, with assistance from Kankakee police, arrested Erik C. Thomas, 29, of St. Anne, for theft by deception and forgery on May 22. According to a release, Thomas is alleged to have deposited 16 forged checks in the amount of more than $14,000 into local financial institutions in March. A judge set his bond at $120,000.
