Fleeing and eluding
Illinois State Police District 21 arrested Patrick J. Mulligan, 43, of Ashkum, for fleeing and eluding a police officer on Dec. 12. According to a release, a trooper was on patrol at 10:58 p.m. Dec. 11 in Iroquois County and observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed (116 mph in a 70-mph zone) on Interstate 57 northbound at mile marker 291. The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle exited I-57 at the Ashkum exit and continued traveling at a high rate of speed. It was later discovered that the driver of the vehicle was Mulligan. The trooper went to Mulligan’s home, where he was placed under arrest. Mulligan was issued tickets for speeding 35-plus mph over the speed limit and driving while license revoked.
Illinois State Police District 21 arrested Justin R. Davidson, 30, of Kankakee, for driving under the influence of alcohol on Dec. 8. According to a release, a trooper on patrol in Kankakee County at 12:45 a.m. observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and traveling all over the roadway on Illinois Route 50 at Mulligan Drive in Bradley. The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Davidson. Davidson showed signs of alcohol impairment. Davidson was issued tickets for speeding, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
