McArdle Road, Coal City, will have a “Hallelujah” soup supper from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, serving vegetable beef and chicken noodle soups, with a sandwich, crackers, beverage, ice cream and dessert. Entertainment will be by Silverstrings Acoustic Trio, performing country, bluegrass and oldies, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults; $4 for children ages 6 to 12; $2 for children ages 3 to 5; and free for children 2 and younger. St. Margaret Mary Council of Catholic Women will honor Diane Long, of Herscher, at a Mass celebrated by the Rev. Brad Baker, cathedral rector, and the Rev. John Sebahar, spiritual adviser for the Joliet Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, at the Cathedral of Saint Raymond in Joliet on April 21, along with all the Woman of the Year and Parish Presidents from throughout the Diocese of Joliet. The theme of the Mass and the luncheon to follow is “We Joyfully Believe.”Concert
