Camp Invention, a week-long summer adventure with lessons that explore connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation, is taking place this week at Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center. This year’s theme is Supercharged. It was all hands on deck Wednesday as, from left to right, Thane Fruehling, Samantha Jordan and Lucas Snipes learned about creative problem-solving while building a ship and designing underwater equipment in Deep Sea Mystery. Wednesday also was hat day. Other activities have included exploring circuit boards, motors and gears and building and coding bots. Camp Invention is a program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame.
