AFTERNOON TO 1 PM CDT /2 PM EDT/ SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph
expected this afternoon. West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up
to 50 mph expected tonight and Saturday morning.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central and
northwest Indiana.

* WHEN...From 3 PM CDT /4 PM EDT/ this afternoon to 1 PM CDT /2
PM EDT/ Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Locally stronger winds are possible with
thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening.

 Daily Journal 2023 Big 10 Official Rules:

  1. ELIGIBILTY:  The Daily Journal’s Big 10 (“Contest”) is open to all Illinois and Indiana residents. Employees, agents, independent contractors of the Daily Journal (“Sponsor”) and their immediate family members and individuals residing in the same household, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate in this Contest. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules.
  2. HOW TO ENTER: The object is to pick the winning team each round of the tournament and the overall winner of the Championship.
  3. No purchase necessary, drop off a bracket at Daily Journal 1 Dearborn Square, Suite 200 or you can enter online at daily-journal.com/big10.

  7. ENTRY DEADLINE: All entries must be received by 5pm CST, Wednesday, March, 8 2023, to be included in Contest.
  8. WINNERS/PRIZES: The person(s) with the most points will be entered into a random draw for 1st place $300 gift card to Berkot's, 2nd place $150 gift card to Berkot's and 3rd place $50 gift card to Berkot's.  Winners will be notified by phone before or on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023. Upon notification, arrangements will be made for prize delivery.
  9. TAXES: All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. Any additional costs relating to the prize, and incurred as a result of accepting the prize, is the sole responsibility of the winner. All manufacturer warranties and retailer policies regarding prize items apply. Sponsor is not responsible for defects or dissatisfaction pertaining to prize items and has no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute a prize item once prizes have been accepted.
    Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner’s name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
  10. GENERAL CONDITIONS: To participate in this Contest, entrants are asked to provide personally identifiable information (i.e., his/her name, address, city, phone, age, etc.) All the information collected by Sponsor is securely maintained and is for the purpose of conducting this Contest or to extend other offers and service of Sponsor. Sponsor currently does not disclose to third parties personally identifiable information that Contest entrants provide.
  11. LIABILITY LIMITATION: Sponsor will not be responsible for illegible entry nominations or those that are late, lost, stolen or damaged in any way. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify, or terminate the Contest, and select winners from entries prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by the Sponsor. All federal, state and local laws apply. Sponsor and its officers, insurers, and employees assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for damages, loss or injury resulting from participating in this Contest or acceptance of prize.
