Idol - Top 11

Maybe it wasn’t a great idea to sing the Beatles again.

The performances lacked the zip of last week’s show.

Here are the rankings, from best to worst:

1) David C.

2) Syesha

3) David A.

4) Amanda

5) Carly

6) Chikezie

7) Brooke

Jason

9) Michael

10) Ramiele

11) Kristy Lee

Who will go: Last week was a bit of a shocker but I am confident that there are still too many Cooks in the Idol kitchen. Kristy Lee will go home.

My vote is on Kristy Lee again too. I’m disappointed that my Michael and Carly have yet to connect with a song though I’m impressed with David Cook. He just seems to get better every week. I fear though if he does the guitar/rock thing again next week Simon will say he’s predictable. I’d love to see him do something A Capella… of a rock song of course.

Syesha #2? Really? She’s not a strong singer. She sings slowly and almost hesitatingly as if she is trying to get the notes “just right”. Her voice doesn’t “flow” and isn’t very strong.
Tim Ahrens says — Based upon last night, I felt she had the second-best performance. No, she’s not the second-best singer but last night was solid. At least, more solid than most of the contestants, who seemed to take a step backward. Just out of curiosity, do you vote? If so, do you vote on that night’s performance or their cumulative work?

I didn’t vote last night b/c I thought they were all kind of boring, but I typically vote. 95 percent of my vote is for that particular night, and 5 percent is for people I really like. There are also people I will never vote for no matter what.

Timmy….can you be a lamb and get that Carly to sing a heart-wrenching version of “Danny Boy” in that beautiful Irish broug of hers? That would so secure her a top spot! Amanda left and that cursed Kristie stays! Grrrrr!

I am extremely frustrated that Kristie is still there. Although she is better than Sanjaya was last season, I am beginning to think she will hang around forever. It is truly a Shame that Amanda did not make the final 10. I loved her gravelly bluesy sounding vocals… and although she was not my favorite, I sincerely thought she would have lasted longer.
I could not believe that Carly was in the bottom three though……… she is one of the strongest singers to me.
I voted my butt off… I vote for overall, not just the nights performance….. most of the time

Kristie is the new Sanjaya. Seriously. She has better hair but I would love to burn her clothes! Yuck! Amanda should have stayed. And I really like Brooke!!
