As I near the finish line of my vacation, today I was blessed with 12 hours of sleep.
I guess the body needed some extra time to recuperate from the excitement created by hanging out at home doing projects and relaxing.
A side note. One of the dreams I had found me dictating a column while I showered. I know, too much information. But how crazy is that?
I got up at noon and then got productive.
I searched for and posted to my Facebook page songs with the word “rain” in their title.
Actually, as I write this blog, I am adding to the list with the help of requests from my friends. The list includes “Singing In The Rain,” “Wicked Rain,” “Healing Rain,” “Laughter in the Rain,”, “Raindrops Keep Falling,” and “Rain” by the Beatles and Creed.
I actually found it therapeutic to listen to these songs. They cover many different styles of music.
Any way, we had all the projects complete. Nothing to do but relax, and watch the squirrels in the backyard prepare life boats because of the all-day rain.
I don’t look at this rainy day as a wash out, but a day to groove with the tunes.
I’ve got to go, I’ve got more requests coming in for rain songs.
And remember Bing Crosby sang, “Let a smile be your umbrella on a rainy, rainy day.”
