My doctor is not going to like hearing this - I love potato chips.

I take medication to help keep my cholesterol level in check. I also watch what I eat and drink. I even try and work out regularly.

But I have been unable to write off those wonderful crispy chips.

I am a firm believer it is one thing you cannot break free. Other vices I have been able to kick.

I write about this today because a co-worker, who also loves potato chips, tried to break the habit.

The attempt was futile, he said.

What is it with the potato chip?

Is it the salt? Maybe it is the texture? Quite possibly it could be the aroma of the chips when you open a new bag.

More likely it is just being stubborn.

It is like my cat, Smokey, when things don’t go his way.

Instead, he will turn his back to me and flip his tail quickly from side-to-side.

It also could have something to do with his nine lives. Smokey thinks he can outlive me to get those chips.

Hey Bonty…..it’s because you are all that and a bag of chips. Me on the other hand….all that, a bag of chips and a bottle of beer. Haha!! :O)
