How many of you filled out your brackets for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament today?

Or maybe you are working on it.

Here are a few tips:

Toss a coin. If you have to do three out of five, do not use this step.

Have your palms read.

Check to see where Mars is in the sky.

Use your mother’s birthday divided by 2010 to see which seeds could pull off the upsets.

Use a dart board.

See if there is an ex-Cubs factor.

Pick the team with the coolest or oddest nickname.

Go with engineering schools. They are innovative.

If a coach doesn’t slick his hair back, don’t pick them.

If you think about picking a No. 16 seed to beat a No. 1 seed, tear up the bracket and do not play.
