After a great string of days with sun and warm temperatures, the rains came down hard today.

Added into the mix was a intense thunder and lightning display. I hope this isn’t a sign of a dicey spring as far as severe weather.

The good thing is we didn’t have to shovel the rain.

Walking into work as it was raining, I enjoyed the smell of freshness.

And then there was the fact I didn’t have to use the windshield cleaner on the drive to work.

Better yet, I even saw a few perennials peaking out from the ground. This rain and warm temperatures will yields some colorful flowers soon.

The ice on the pond has lost its battle to keep control, allowing the fish to get a glimpse of the coming season.

Not to leave out the birds. For the first time in months they get a decent bath.

But the best thing about a rainy day like this. It reminds you of that first kiss.

Sweet, warm, awkward yet comfortable. It is the beginning of something special.
