How appropriate the winner of this year’s Nobel Peace prize was announced on the birth date of former Beatle John Lennon.
Such hits as “Imagine” and “Give Peace a Chance” painted a picture of hope the world could live in peace.
Too bad Lennon was shot to death in 1980.
Another irony is this year’s Nobel Peace Prize winner, President Barack Obama.
An unknown in politics a few years ago, Obama has climbed onto the world stage in the last three years.
Has he been in office long enough, made a significant difference or accomplished anything major? That is for you to decide.
Whether you like it or not, a group of people decided to bestow this honor on him.
And once again, it has people talking.
To me it seems like lines of communication are open and hopefully all sides can get connected.
Let us give peace a chance.
