This past weekend I was back home again in Indiana for the 30th reunion of my high school class.
While attending the festivities in Lafayette, Ind., I took time to go visit the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, Ind.
Photos from the high school class reunion I attended this weekend are cropping up on my Facebook page.
Not just of me, but of all of us who attended the 30th reunion. (more…)
Today at work we held a pizza luncheon for two co-workers leaving The Daily Journal, Colleen Zarecki and Emily Zulz.
Colleen, an editorial and photo assistant, is laving to pursue a career in law enforcement.
She will be a success. She ran a tight ship here. Hard working, not afraid to share her opinion and caring best describe her. Colleen will truly be missed.
Zulz will be returning to Eastern Illinois University for her final semester. She is editor of the paper.
Emily quietly went about her job as a reporter and did a professional job.
In these tough times in the journalism business, it is nice to know there are young people who have a passion for reporting.
Thanks for showing me there is hope that this profession still means something.
I wish them both well.
